With its origins in the company INDUSTESA, created in 1956, what are the factors that led to the birth of Matelco?
In the 1950s, the evolution of industrial process automation was at a standstill. There was a great lack of imported equipment and no domestic production.
It was in these circumstances that the shareholders of INDUSTESA thought that the manufacture and sale of automation systems for the technological modernization of the industry was a subject of great projection.
With this idea in mind, in 1968 they bought Matelco. At that time, the company was provided with the facilities and human capital necessary to design and manufacture electronic automatisms for the control of industrial processes. Among these processes were: photoelectric devices, equipment for the control and measurement of levels in tanks and silos, systems for the control of machine manufacturing, etc.
