Automatic sludge blanket level control

What do we propose?

Sludge blanket level monitoring in settlers, thickeners, flotators, flotators, …

How do we do it?

Continuous determination and monitoring of the sludge blanket level, based on suspended solids co-concentration measured with a multi-sensor optical probe. Light transmission loss of 64 optical sensors is monitored simultaneously at multiple depths.

Where do we do it?

In all types of settling tanks, lamellar decanters, thickeners, DAF/CAF/SBR flotation tanks, clarifiers, etc.

What do we get?

Automate the operation of the settler, to regulate the purge based on the level of the sludge blanket. Thanks to this we will be able to save costs in personnel, energy (pumping), sludge treatment (lower volume), chemicals (improved sedimentation). We also obtain safety benefits, both for personnel (avoiding contact with wastewater when the control is done manually) and for operation (avoiding sludge overflow in decanters).
